This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit trustednesthomecare.com, submit a form, or contact us by phone, email or text, and explains your privacy rights under Connecticut law.

2. Information we collect

Care consultation form: name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, city or town, type of care needed, preferred start date, and your message.

Caregiver application: name, email address, phone number, city or town, preferred work area, caregiving experience, certifications and training, availability, transportation and driver's license status, work authorization, resume, and your message.

Phone calls, emails and texts: whatever you choose to share with us, which may include information about a loved one's needs.

Information collected automatically: when you visit the site, our website host may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.

Information about the type of care you or a family member needs can reveal a health condition. Connecticut law treats this as consumer health data. We use it only to respond to you and plan care. If you submit information about another person, please make sure you have their permission or the authority to share it.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation; plan, provide and coordinate care you request; review caregiver applications; communicate with you by your preferred method; keep our website secure; and meet legal, licensing, insurance and record-keeping requirements. We collect only what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

By submitting our forms, you consent to Trusted Nest Home Care collecting and using the information you provide, including information about care needs and health, for these purposes. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, and we will stop processing that information within 15 days.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, including consumer health data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling. We do not use personal information to train artificial intelligence models.

We share information only with our caregivers and staff who need it to provide care; service providers who help run our business (such as website hosting, email, scheduling and background screening) under contracts requiring them to protect it; family members or representatives you authorize; government agencies or law enforcement when required by law or to protect a client's safety; and a buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged.

5. Text messages, cookies and online tracking

Text messages: if you choose SMS as your preferred contact method, we will text you about your inquiry, scheduling and care. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop or HELP for help. We do not share or sell your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies: our website uses cookies needed for the site to work and may use basic analytics to understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control and similar browser opt-out signals.

6. How long we keep information and how we protect it

We keep inquiries that do not become clients and applications we do not hire for up to 2 years. We keep client and employee records as long as required by law, insurance and our registration. We then delete or securely destroy them.

We protect personal information with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted website connections, password-protected systems, and limiting access to staff who need it. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as Connecticut law requires.

7. Your Connecticut privacy rights

Connecticut residents have the right to: know and access the personal information we hold about them; correct inaccurate information; delete their information; get a copy in a portable format; withdraw consent to our use of health-related information; opt out of any sale, targeted advertising or profiling (we do not engage in these); and not be discriminated against for using these rights.
